Welcome to a new school year!

A very warm welcome to all of our Year 3/4 children and families! We hope everyone has had a lovely summer break and is feeling refreshed and ready for an exciting new academic year.
It has been wonderful to welcome the children back to school and see their enthusiasm for learning already. This term is a particularly exciting time as the children settle into their new routines, build relationships and develop greater independence as they continue their journey through Key Stage 2.
Our focus this term will be on establishing positive routines, developing confidence and encouraging the children to take pride in themselves and their learning. We will continue to promote our school values and encourage the children to show kindness, integrity and tenacity in everything they do.
Miss Clark will teach the children throughout the morning, including Reading, Writing and Maths. Mrs Garnett will teach the children during the afternoon, with lessons including Science, History and Geography. We are looking forward to working together to support the children across all areas of their learning.
As we begin the new academic year, we will continue to work closely with families to ensure that every child feels happy, safe, supported and ready to learn. We greatly value your continued support and look forward to a successful and enjoyable term together.
Key Information
PE:
PE will take place on Tuesday each week. The children will be swimming on Tuesdays, so there will be no additional PE lesson in school.
To make changing after swimming as easy and efficient as possible, children are welcome to come into school wearing their PE kits on Tuesday mornings.
Please ensure that PE kits are appropriate for school and consist of:
- A white polo shirt
- Black or purple leggings, jogging bottoms or shorts
- Suitable trainers
Please ensure that PE clothing is plain and does not display large or prominent brands/logos. This will help us to maintain our school expectations and ensure that children are dressed appropriately for PE.
Homework:
Homework will continue to be given out every Tuesday and should be returned by the following Monday.
