PE

At Bridgewater Park Primary School our PE curriculum has been carefully planned and structured to a two-year rolling programme to ensure our mixed cohort classes receive a broad and balanced curriculum competing in sports and other activities which support their health and fitness. Pupils have two hours of PE timetabled per week through which we develop core skills to enable children to become well rounded sportsmen and sportswomen as set out in the new National Curriculum.

Children are given the opportunity to swim during KS2 at Beechwood and we aim for all pupils leaving the school to be able to swim at least 25m. All pupils also have the opportunity to complete the National Cycling Proficiency scheme in UKS2, this usually takes place towards the end of the academic year.
