The Internet is an expanding, useful and creative tool which can be used to improve our learning, communication and quality of life. However, like all tools, we must use the Internet responsibly.
At Bridgewater Park, we give children the opportunities to develop a sense of responsibility not only for their own behaviour online, but for that of other people. It is important to us that our Core Power Values of Kindness, Respect, Aspiration, Integrity, Collaboration, Resilience and Listening extend to the virtual world. We want children to be Sharp, Alert, Secure, Kind and brave at ALL times.
How does Bridgewater Park teach E-safety?
Within our Computing Curriculum children are provided with these opportunities through a combination of the Google 'Be Internet Awesome' initiative and the Project Evolve scheme of work.
We're all in this together!
Whilst we believe that our curriculum is full of rich opportunities for children to be safe online, we all have a duty to work together to equip our children with the neccessary skills to be safe, responsible digital citizens.
Here, you will find information on how you can help to keep your child safe online and some useful resources which can be accessed at home.
