Astley

Hello and welcome to Astley Class! Astley is the Year 1 class at Bridgewater Park Primary School and are taught primarily by Miss Davenport.

We have high expectations throughout the school and want to make sure that all children have structure and routine right from the start.

Astley class are taught by Miss Davenport for all their lessons, with the exception of two lessons a week; one with Miss Hopkinson (HLTA) and one with another member of staff.  

Children are expected to be in their school uniform four days a week and in suitable, appropriate clothing for PE day. Children come to school in their PE clothing all day, so there is no need to bring a change of clothes. PE is currently on Wednesday.

Homework is handed out on a Monday, with the expectation that it is back in for Friday; although some children like to bring it in sooner which is brilliant! Our homework packs also include a reading book and reading diary. It is vital that children read on a regular basis with an adult that can sign their book.
