Know your Place
This half term we are looking forward to exploring our school grounds and our local area/community through our topic `Know your Place`
We will be identifying the key features of our local environment and drawing maps of our route to school, labelling key locations and places we see on the way.
We will be talking about the places we like and suggesting ways we can improve the local environment. We will also be looking at signs of seasonal change and sharing the observations we see.
People who help us
We will be thinking about people who help us in our local community and we have special visitors coming into school to talk about jobs they do.
We will be identifying different types of environments eg urban/rural, hot/cold and understanding how the climate changes and identifying animals that live in these different climates.
Jigsaw Celebrating Difference
This half term we will be;
- Identifying things we are good at
- Looking at our families ans knowing that we are different but we are the same in some ways
- Thinking about why our homes are special to us
- How to be a kind friend
Enrichment week in EYFS
Early Years had lots of fun taking part in Anti bullyinmg week engaging in lots of activities .
We did lots of baking using the same ingredients but different decorations. We learnt that we are all the same but different.
We read the book The Ugly Duckling and learnt how to be a good friend to everyone.
We had friendship Friday and parents came along to join us making friendship activities. We made friendship bracelets and friendship cards.
We had a visit from our local PCSO's who talked to us about how they help us in the community.
Take a look in our gallery to see the fun we have had.
